Not a good day.

So early this morning Dumpling (my dog) totally chewed up my sketchbook with about 4 months of work in it, along with the piece I was going to post up today. It was horrible, I'm still really upset, I'm going to stop talking about it.

For the last hour or so, as I've been attempting to scan in an older drawing of mine (just to have something up), I'm discovering that my scanner has pretty much quit working again and might be broken for real this time.

This is an alternate front book jacket cover for Dennis Copper's novel "Closer." Mostly pencil and a bit of Watercolor and pen on board. Finally figured out how to do a good splatter effect!

brain crease!

Hey so sorry for the no post yesterday but I have some exciting news! Copies of brain crease #2 just arrived in the mail! I'm going to order more of those and some of #3 before the SF Zine Fest next month and APE in October. For now, please feel free to look at the covers for the first three issues of the continuing story of Mortimer J. Cobbles in brain crease!

Also, if you know me, call me up and I'll save you an issue, or if you want, feel free to order from (excpet for #1, which hasn't had this altered cover yet).

They are (in order): colored pencil on board, marker on board, and watercolor on board.

Cloud Fight!

Hey, it's a cloud fight! If you get hit with a cloud ball, you explode into a cloud. Obviously. Watercolor and ink on board.

This is an alternate poster for the wonderful film Brick. Watercolor on board.

It looks like I'm pretty obsessed with drawing smoke these days. I guess the summer of '09 will be my "Smoke Period." (Thanks, Joey.)
